What's up with yogurt companies? Don't they think men have troubled digestive systems or cute best men? What are they, like, sexist or something?

Although it's true that yogurt is targeted towards women, other products are targeted towards men and specific races or economic groups. Is your point that all marketing should be equal-opportunity? Venus commercials with virile footballers wouldn't be as effective as the current, flowery nymph model.

Karin,
I think the point is that yogurt advertising targets women almost exclusively when yogurt isn't inherently a feminine product. Obviously Kotex ads with the Red Sox wouldn't work, since no one on the Red Sox needs a tampon. But these yogurt ads are making yogurt into a "female food," when there's no reason men can't eat yogurt, relax at their friend's wedding, shimmy as they open a pack of yogurt, take in their pants for altering...

hahaha, this sarah person is funny.
wel, yogurt has always been protrayed as a healthy food from the "food pyramid" and FULL of good stuff for you. so why should only women be eating it? do only women need to be healthy as a horse, and food conscious( im not sure if that is spelled right?) like a health nut? its because if women aren't healthy and beautiful, they are a disgrace to society, thanks to the media and the idea that no one is good enough for anyone's standards.
